Dear all
I do hope you are very well and are enjoying the summer now that it has truly arrived!
July is a very busy month but just before it begins there is a huge event in the life of All Saints - Our annual Church Summer Fete (formerly called the Garden Party). Please click on this poster to see full details of the fete.
Before I list events, please can I bring to your attention that the Boot Fair is taking place at Church Street playing fields this coming weekend, 23rd and 24th June . If you are coming to church this weekend, please would you leave the church car parks to those who find walking long distances difficult, and park in a neighbouring street if at all possible. We have operated this system for many years. It does not apply to those who attend the 8am service. There are a number of streets within easy walking distance of the church including those that are on the other side of the Crab and Winkle path via the churchyard.
CHURCH SUMMER FETE
THIS SHOULD BE A WONDERFUL EVENT!
If you are able to help set up or clear away that would be a great help. Setting up happens on the Friday evening from 8pm and also on the Saturday morning. A big thank you to Rebecca Parker-Binks and Kevin Parker who are the new Chairs of the Social Committee and are doing a great job. You can contact as follows if you can help or have things that can be sold for church profit at the Fete.
Please note we do not allow private stalls at the Fete. All profits go to Church funds after expenses.

craft, singing and tones of imagination and creativity. Children come into
church with their families for 10am start.

At All Saints Church, we also
have a JUNIOR CHOIR meeting for
rehearsals every Thursday afternoon (term time) 5.20 - 6 pm. Our choir mistress
selects a variety of well-loved upbeat songs to Christian lyrics, which the
children enjoy to sing and perform. If you love singing, come and join in the
fun!

share parenting tips and support one another on our journeying together through
parenthood. Our first session will be on 5th Sep 2018. All welcome!

To support local families cope with the cost of school uniform, various churches in Whitstable are starting a Community Wardrobe project this summer: It’s a bit like a Foodbank, but with school uniform instead!
How can you help?
- Would you be happy to wash, mend and / or iron the school uniform that is donated? Do get in touch.
- Do you have any uniform that you can donate? Look out for one of the ‘Community wardrobe’ bins that will soon be available in our churches.
- Please spread the word and also pray for this project.

REFUGEE WEEK
As part of Refugee Week Celebrations, our local support group WCS will have a screening of Sue Clayton's award winning film on the 24th June at 5-30 at St Alphege Church in the High Street. It's an opportunity to watch an amazing film which is being used as evidence by Sue Clayton and a team of human rights lawyers against the Home Office in their bid to prove their failure to fulfil their promise and commitment to the children in Calais. Put the date in your diary folks and come and get your tickets and be a part of the solution!
Here is a really excellent short trailer which could possibly be shown in the notices? https://vimeo.com/230 595898
As well as the film, earlier in the afternoon from 2:30 there will lots of fun family activities including face painting, cake stalls, authentic Syrian food and kids/adults can watch Paddington 2 in the church.
