July and August Xtra 2015

Dear all

Summer appears to have arrived at last!

The above is the main event in the life of the church at the moment. A lot of work is going in to planning this wonderful day and I do hope to see you there!

There are though some other events in the life of the church.

Sacred Space takes place on Monday 29th June from 8pm to 9pm in the church. Please watch this video if you are unsure what Sacred Space is.

Then on Sunday 5th July there is no 10am service at All Saints. Instead, we all are invited to attend the "Churches Together in Whitstable" service, suitable for all ages, at Westmeads recreation ground, near the railway station. This poster gives you the theme of the service. It is a very good idea to bring a drink and a garden chair with you.

On Sunday 12th July we have our usual Family Communion service at 10am. I do hope to see many of you there.

Our Family Service in August will be a Pet Blessing service at the Vicarage garden on Sunday 9th August at 10am. Again, please bring a chair with you.

The rest of the programme for July can be found at www.allsaintswhitstable.com. The programme for August should appear on the website in the next few weeks.

Thank you to all of you who have sponsored me for my sponsored walk in August from Whitstable to Dover. It is about 45 miles in all and I shall be doing it over three days, staying at bed and breakfasts en route. It is to raise money for our All Saints church organ refurbishment appeal.

If you would like to sponsor me there is a form at the back of the church or you can sponsor me online at this link

A new venture in recent months has been the below event taking place every month except for August.

Unity Update

Unity Update is the Team Publication from the five churches in Whitstable. It is sent round every month.

Following discussions, the plan now is for it be sent by email and for those only without email to receive it in hard copy. Therefore I have attached it to the original email that this webpage was linked to. If you have not received the original email, and would like to receive an email with Unity Update as an attachment, please let me know.

Please do read my blog if you have time. It is here

Please do remember we have a Church Family Breakfast on the third Sunday of each month from 8.45am onwards in the church hall. It would be lovely to see you at it. The next one is on 19th July.

May I remind everyone that our pastoral team and I are available to visit anyone who is ill in body, mind or spirit - ie with a physical illness, or feeling depressed or anxious, or anything which is not good. Please just let me know.

May God bless you richly this summer.

I shall not be sending out a reminder in August, so please make a note of the Pet Blessing service now. Please remember to bring a garden chair and if you don't have a pet please feel welcome anyway.

Every good wish and Christian love to you and your family. Have a wonderful summer and a great holiday if you are able to get away.
